Once construction started, the process was very organized. The build itself took about 14 months, and throughout that time, communication was consistent and transparent. After the Committee of Adjustment process and securing all the necessary permits, construction began in August of last year, and now, about 9 months later, we’re ready to enjoy the summer in our new home.
Urban Studio removed the existing roof on our bungalow, raised the main floor ceiling height to 9 feet, and built a full second floor, effectively doubling our living space. The transformation is incredible. The basement was also fully underpinned to 9-foot ceilings, and it honestly doesn’t feel like a basement anymore, it’s bright, open, and has become one of our favourite areas in the house. The difference is night and day.
